Need help getting started? HostPapa’s Business and Business Pro shared hosting plans include a 30-minute phone call or video session with one of their support agents. Customer support is available around the clock by email, phone, or live chat. Users can access more resources through an extensive knowledgebase, video tutorials, weekly webinars, and downloadable manuals.

HostPapa.com provides green hosting and ensures that the environment is a primary consideration and not a secondary one or an afterthought. The whole business is built around an ethos that promotes green thinking and sustainable practice. The people at HostPapa have a host of awards under their green belts, and although they’ve only been going since 2006 as a hosting company, they have made a serious impact on the market and are a company that should be recognized.

Many of the features offered by HostPapa have no limits on the usage – for example, space and bandwidth are unlimited in shared hosting and the VPS they offer. Incidentally, there is a vast range of features offered, ensuring that you get the best out of your hosting. The 99.9% up-time guarantee means you can expect to use these features in full confidence that your website is always up and running, and the 30-day money back guarantee if you’re not satisfied gives you a full month to work out if HostPapa is right for you.

Hosting Technology

HostPapa has a lot of really great hosting features using the latest technology while remaining green as an entire company. This is an important feature for a lot of people who are looking for ethical hosting, because taking care of the planet is a priority for many, and HostPapa really have that as part of their business ideology.

All the hosting plans have unlimited disk space, bandwidth, email accounts and pages. The only exception to this is the Starter Hosting plan that is the cheapest and most basic shared hosting package. The plans can be Linux or Windows (with the shared or VPS hosting) and you’ll get a free domain or domain transfer, depending on what it is you need. HostPapa uses the very well known cPanel control panel. This means the control panel is easy to use and shouldn’t pose a problem for people transferring their hosting rather than starting from scratch with HostPapa. It is also especially compatible if you’re using a Linux based system.

One of the more prominent and professional website builders used by HostPapa is SohoLaunch. It’s an industry gem and has a high number of templates available to use on your website. HostPapa gives you more than 200 apps and plugins that can be used to make your website better. Featuers such as the shopping cart and Paypal are SSL checked and compatible to make sure all your payments and customer payments are encrypted and secure.

cPanel, Root Access, and Unlimited Everything: have as many websites, domains, databases, and email accounts, and as much disk space and bandwidth as you want when signed up for Business and Business Pro plans. Manage VPS servers with cPanel and root access. You can also have an unlimited number of MySQL databases. Add CloudFlare content delivery network, SiteLock security, SSL certificates, or automated backups if you wish.

Pricing

HostPapa discounts can be found on a fairly regular basis, so do keep an eye out for those. The price drops can save you up to 1/3 off the normal price so it’s really worth waiting until one comes up.

The shared hosting plan for small companies or individuals, known as the Starter Plan costs only $5.99 / month. This is the only plan that does not give you unlimited space and bandwidth and it’s really meant for individuals who might just want to set up a blog.

The Business Hosting plan (obviously aimed at businesses) is $9.99 per month and it allows you to host an unlimited number of websites. The Business Pro shared hosting plan costs $18.99 per month and ensures you can have a virtually limitless online presence for your business. There is also VPS hosting available and the prices for this vary depending on your needs.

HostPapa is a great deal for the number of features and level of service you get — particularly on the shared hosting plans. Their VPS plans, however, are a bit high-priced when comparing what you get from competing companies. For a hosting company that prides themselves on helping small businesses grow, however, HostPapa’s competitive pricing means new customers don’t have to make a big investment to increase their online presence.

Website Builder and Email Package

Easily add text, images, maps, videos, and widgets. More tech-savvy site owners can take control by editing HTML and CSS. Responsive themes are the norm at HostPapa, and you can preview how your site will look on both mobile and desktop before publishing. Set up an online store with the Enterprise plan. You can track inventory, give real-time shipping quotes, and integrate with services such as PayPal and Stripe.

For less than $1 per month per user, HostPapa’s basic email package offers unlimited inboxes, IMAP connections, POP3, and SMTP. HostPapa’s advanced email plan boosts storage capacity, archives, and file sharing for $2 per month per user. Google Apps and Microsoft Office 365 are available for customers and businesses that need extra emailing power.

Customer Support

The customer support with HostPapa is genuinely some of the best you can find in the hosting industry. It is of an exceptionally high standard. Not only is email or live chat support available in multiple languages (more of which are being added to the repertoire), this is accessible 24/7. The international presence of the company means they have to accommodate time differences and this benefits the clients all around the world. You can use the video tutorials on offer or choose to have a 30minute one-to-one session with a HostPapa specialist. The knowledgebase is packed with articles, blog pieces, tech updates and up to the minute info for clients.

HostPapa’s 99.9% uptime guarantee isn’t terribly exciting but should be plenty sufficient for most users. Otherwise, the company seems truly dedicated to making their support technicians readily available to customers whenever they need help. In addition to the seemingly standard 24/7 availability through phone, email, and chat, HostPapa sets themselves apart from the rest with weekly webinars and one-on-one consultations.

Reliability

HostPapa has the industry expected 99.9% up-time guarantee. This level of reliability is a sign that the company is constantly working to keep servers up to date, monitoring speeds and connectivity and ensuring that clients are kept online. The servers are all of first-grade quality and are acquired from recognizable and highly regarded brand names such as HP. The servers are currently being updated to SSD drives and have a minimum of 32GB RAM.

All of HostPapa’s services are built with the users’ experience in mind. After testing out HostPapa’s various features, we found the account management, cPanel, site builder, and email interfaces incredibly clean and easy to use.

Building a Site

HostPapa is confident that it only takes five minutes to build a website with them. The website builders they provide allow you to customize codes (HTML, CSS etc) and there are so many widgets, add-ons and apps to choose from, you won’t know which to choose first. Examples of what you can add include payment buttons such as for paypal. Twitter or facebook sharing icons are just two examples of the many social media sites you can link to your website. The HostPapa premium website builder also allows you to drag and drop content whether it’s text or multimedia photos or videos. The idea is the whole experience should be quick and easy.

Conclusion

One of the earliest hosting companies to power their datacenters with renewable energy, HostPapa is an established provider that furnishes customers with plans backed by award-winning customer service and covered with a bevy of features. Currently hosting more than 500,000 websites, HostPapa is the epitome of a high-value, low-cost provider.

Whether through CRM tools, automatic backups, or unlimited storage, HostPapa excels at giving their customers a seamless, easy experience. Each user gets a dedicated account manager and a single bill, no matter how many services are added on. That account manager will recommend products, such as email platforms, based on your needs — even if it means suggesting Google Apps or Microsoft Office 365 instead of HostPapa’s proprietary platform.

Hyper-focused on their customers, HostPapa wants to help small businesses move through the ranks of shared and VPS hosting. Users can get started with an intuitive website builder and grow to Rocket Fast Premium Servers. With the help of around-the-clock support and a focus on your future, HostPapa makes an excellent choice for your first host.

HostPapa might not be a very known hosting company but their website builder is sure fast and easy to use! If a total newbie like myself was able to build his first website in 15 minutes then anyone can! Their support desk is always there to help if needed and they often reply and give you a solution within 10-15 minutes or faster!

LOL I love their logo! As mentioned this is great for a small business or website but nothing big like networking or wordpress blogs. I know someone who recently started using them and it was recommended to me. The sites I would want to use a new host for would simply be too big for this kind of hosting service which is a shame.
